ITINERARY

DAY 1:

Arrival in Kilimanjaro airport. You will be greeted at the airport and taken to your accommodation for rest and relaxation overnight before embarking on your first day of safari.

DAY 2:

After your breakfast, your safari will begin in the Tarangire National Park best known for its vast elephant population and the Baobab tree. You will have the opportunity to see some of the 550 species of birds as well as an array of other animals. After your game drive you will be able to enjoy a swim in the pool and a cold drink. After dinner sit by the open fire and exchange stories with fellow travellers.

DAY 3:

After a full hot breakfast we will travel to Serengeti National Park established in 1951 to protect the wildlife in the area. Here we will have a picnic lunch in the wild and view the animals of the Serengeti. The animals of the area include wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, hartebeest, topi, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, lion, leopard, dik-diks and waterbuck.

DAY 4:

Today you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives and learn the many character traits of the wildlife you see. Your guide will have many stories of the Maasai people and the animals for your entertainment. You will have the opportunity to take photos from the open top safari vehicle. Afterwards enjoy a swim in the pool and a sunset that will never be forgotten.

DAY 5:

You will have one last chance to capture the essence of the Serengeti on a morning game drive before moving on to Ndutu in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here you enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of the great migration. This is an experience like no other as the wildebeest and zebra are moving in enormous herds. Your accommodations are in a prime spot for viewing wildlife from the elevated veranda or pool. This is calving season for the wildebeest giving you the chance to see the young.

DAY 6:

Have a hearty breakfast before venturing out on morning and afternoon game drives. If you have missed any of the animals you have come here to see this will give you an excellent opportunity to cross more off the list. Do not forget to look to the skies for the amazing birds as well.

DAY 7:

You will enjoy a hot breakfast and be provided with picnic on your way to the Ngorongoro crater. In the crater you will have the chance to see all the animals and birds you have dreamed of in one place. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals including leopard, lion, cheetah, elephant, hyena, warthog, impala, and flamingo on the lake. The Ngorongoro Farmhouse has outdoor dining overlooking beautiful scenery.

DAY 8:

Depart with a picnic lunch and drive to Arusha for your departure to the beach resort island of Zanzibar. Here you will check in to your accommodations and have a chance to do a tour of Stone Town. The stories you will hear from your guide will both surprise and entertain you.

DAY 9 – 12:

Here you will enjoy the activities and amenities of your ocean view resort as well as a snorkeling and dolphin tour on a traditional dhow. This tour is rated 4.5 out of 5 and has been pleasing guests since 1996. You will ride the ocean in a traditional dhow around the islands of Zanzibar, snorkel with your host, and enjoy a Swahili seafood feast. Be sure to bring your underwater camera to capture the sights the Indian ocean offers.

DAY 13:

You will be transported to the airport for your flight home.
Time to say farewell until you return.
