Kenya & Tanzania

Day 1

You will be picked up from the Jomo Kenyatta and taken to your modern 5-star hotel in Nairobi. Here you can rest and, depending on the time you arrive, you could request the concierge arrange for you to be taken to the market where you will experience a whole new way of bartering for the things that interest you. Sleep well.

Day 2

Today, you will have breakfast and be met by your guide and taken to Maasai Mara game reserve. You will begin your morning and afternoon game drives taking in all the various wildlife and many species of birds. You will return to camp and be ready for your three-course dinner in the lovely dining room of the luxurious Entim camp. You can relax by the African bush tv (campfire) with a beverage and share stories of the day before retreating to your luxury tent.

Day 3

Today, you will rise early and enjoy a delicious hot breakfast before venturing out on either an all-day safari with picnic lunch or morning and afternoon safaris. If you have prearranged a balloon ride (own expense) over the game reserve, you will rise very early and be taken on the balloon ride of a lifetime. After you return to camp, you will enjoy lunch before doing your afternoon safari and sunset viewing.  When you return, you will have time to freshen up before sitting down to dinner. You can share stories and have an after-dinner drink in the well-equipped lounge.

Day 4

You will enjoy a full hot breakfast and a visit to a Maasai village before heading to the airport for your flight to the border between Kenya and Tanzania. You will be transported by ground through the border and immigration before boarding your flight to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Here you will proceed to your camp to relax before going on your afternoon game drive. You will see the beautiful Tanzanian sunset while viewing the abundant wildlife of the Serengeti. Return to a three-course dinner including drinks and share your photos with your fellow travelers on the deck.

Day 5

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out on your morning/afternoon game drives or an all-day game drive with picnic lunch. Your guide will track the many animals this area offers and will explain many of their characteristics. Expect the unexpected as animals are a curious group. Return for dinner and time to relax.

Day 6

After breakfast, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Return home for dinner and drinks. Optional balloon ride (own expense) in place of morning game drive.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will make your way to the Ngorongoro area and descend the crater where large herds of Africa’s best animals exist. You will have a picnic lunch and after a full afternoon will ascend to your camp for dinner and relaxation. The crater is home to approximately 30,000 animals.

Day 8

Enjoy breakfast as next it is time to proceed to the Tarangire National Park located in the Great Rift area known for its large herds of elephants as well as many other wildlife and bird populations. Enjoy a game drive along the way. Return to camp to enjoy the pool and dinner.

Day 9

Enjoy breakfast and say goodbye to the lovely camp staff before proceeding to Arusha for lunch at a local restaurant and a half-day of shopping at the local shops and markets.

Day 10

Enjoy breakfast and the area before being taken for your flight home.
